Darren Barker

He specialises in project visioning, audience development, community engagement strategies, funding and sustainable project delivery. Much of his work focuses on identifying innovative solutions for cultural projects so they deliver maximum audience benefit while being sustainable. Darren has worked for Heritage Lottery Fund, local authorities at director level, and began to practice as a consultant in 2001. He has worked extensively in the UK, as well as on projects in Hong Kong, Gibraltar, Albania and the UAE. He is an expert adviser to the HLF and is a leading consultant on HLF schemes in the UK.  Darren has been involved in a range of projects from landscapes, museums, visitor centres, parks, and natural heritage sites.
