National Trust Museum of Childhood

The Museum of Childhood, located in the 19th century service wing of Sudbury Hall, contains fascinating displays and a fine collection of toys, games and dolls. Barker Langham’s brief was to transform the museum’s permanent exhibition by creating themed galleries and 50 per cent more exhibition space.

The new exhibition is centred on the collections, family-based interactive games and multi-media displays. Barker Langham worked on the interpretive development of the storyline plus the content management of the exhibits.

In 2009 the exhibition was on the Arts Fund Prize Long List for the UK’s best museum or gallery.
