Victoria Park Receives £4.5m HLF Grant

Victoria Park in East London has been succesful in obtaining £4.5m of Lottery Funding through the Parks for People scheme. Barker Langham were instrumental in putting together the application, and we are delighted that the project to restore and revitalise the park in time for the 2012 Olympics will now be able to go ahead.

Tower Hamlets Council Head of Parks and Play, Colin Stuart, said:
“We are delighted to receive this funding. Victoria Park is immensely popular with the community and Tower Hamlets residents rallied together to win this financial support. We are looking forward to seeing some of the park’s iconic features restored to their former glory before the Olympic Games displays Victoria Park to the world.”
