Wendy has worked in education and in the voluntary sector for many years, developing a deep understanding of the needs of disadvantaged groups during this time. She has also been a political activist since the mid 1970s and has been involved in feminist, anti-racist and childcare industry campaigns.
Recent research projects with Barker Langham include Ms Understood: Women’s Liberation in 1970’s Britain (Women’s Library London Metropolitan University) and interpretation research for Sconce and Devon Park in Newark.
She completed an MA in Globalisation, Identity and Technology in 2005 from Nottingham Trent University – an interdisciplinary programme that explored cultural formations in their local, national and global contexts.
