The Grade I-listed Fulham Palace is one of London’s most important buildings. It is located within Bishops Park that runs alongside the River Thames and has its own significant botanical history. Barker Langham provided vital strategic guidance for the Palace and Park as part of a Heritage Lottery Fund bid.

Our advice was to integrate the Palace grounds and the Park into a coordinated application to the Parks for People scheme. This unified approach of managing these important landscapes holistically added value to the project, offering a seamless visitor experience to the users.

“Barker Langham’s comprehensive understanding of the complex and ever-changing requirements of Lottery funding,” says Scott Cooper, director of Fulham Palace, “combined with its substantial experience in preparing sustainable strategies for preserving and enhancing complex heritage assets, was vital to the Council securing £4m-worth of funding.”
