The Museum of Childhood is a fascinating collection of toys, games and dolls housed in the 19th century wing at the fabulous 17th century Sudbury Hall in Derbyshire. Barker Langham transformed the museum’s permanent exhibition by creating themed galleries, and 50% more exhibition space.

We worked on both the content management for the exhibits and the interpretive development of the storyline, to create an engaging new exhibition centred on the collections, family-based interactive games and multi-media displays.

In 2009 the exhibition was on the Arts Fund Prize Long List for the UK’s best museum or gallery.
